He moved to Walla Walla in 2021 to attend Whitman College. While at Whitman, Ellis was a member of the Cross Country and Track teams while studying politics and philosophy. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2025. Ellis decided to make Walla Walla his home and began work with Roach Law Firm in 2025. Primarily focused on the estate administration part of the firm’s practice, Ellis enjoys working side by side with clients to navigate the probate and estate administration process. After graduating, she relocated to Anchorage and spent several years working for the local phone company. While in Anchorage, she raised her son, who still lives there today. After moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2008, Venus eventually found her way into legal work, becoming a paralegal for an attorney specializing in Family and Criminal Law. She supported clients across several counties and found deep satisfaction in helping people navigate challenging situations. Now living in Walla Walla, Washington, Venus enjoys the familiar beauty of the outdoors without the extreme climate of her Alaskan roots. Being part of the team at Roach Law has allowed her to continue serving others—assisting with estate planning, guardianship, and adoptions. Outside of work, Venus enjoys cooking, spending time with friends, entertaining at her home, and nurturing her faith. In 1979 he graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and began a 19 year career in various management positions with the J.C. Penney Co. In July of that year he married his wife, Denelle. They have three adult children and five grandchildren. In 1989 he was on the management team that opened the J.C. Penney store in the Blue Mountain Mall in Walla Walla. In 1998 he left the Penney Co. and went on staff at Amazing Grace Nazarene church where he ministered for 14 years. After leaving the ministry he drove public transportation vehicles for Valley Transit, was the Facilities and Safety Supervisor for Oregon Child Development Coalition and drove non-emergency medical vehicles for Transportation Solutions. He retired in 2022. In 2024 he joined the team at Roach Law Firm as a part-time office assistant.
