Dan Roach - Attorney

Dan has been providing top notch legal services for residents of the Walla Walla Valley since 1984. Early on, Dan handled many different types of legal matters, as is customary for young lawyers in full service law firms.

Over the past three decades, Dan has narrowed his niche considerably. He has an office practice, not a litigation practice, that is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administrations, probate and probate avoidance, guardianships and related elder law matters. Dan also assists clients with various types of real estate matters. He also assists clients in forming limited liability companies and he prepares and helps negotiate business contracts of various types. Dan continues to provide adoption services and has helped many families over the past 35 years with infant adoptions, stepparent adoptions, adoptions of foreign born children and even adult adoptions. Dan refers legal matters that he does not handle to other capable lawyers. Other lawyers, real estate and insurance professionals, financial advisors and CPAs often refer legal matters to Dan.

Dan and his well educated and pleasant staff endeavor to get to know their clients and their legal needs, educate and advise clients about the law and their options, and then provide excellent legal services using great technology. His clientele is no longer limited to the Walla Walla Valley.  He often remotely assists estate planning and estate administration clients who reside throughout all parts of Washington. He also handles ancillary probates for Personal Representative clients throughout the United States when nonresidents die owning real estate in Washington.

Dan’s roots in Southeastern Washington are deep. His ancestors on his dad’s side arrived in Walla Walla around 1880 and his ancestors on his mom’s side arrived in Pasco around 1915.  Dan and his wife, Jacquie, have six self-sufficient adult children, have three fine daughters-in-law and are now proud grandparents.

Trevor Hanzeli - Attorney

Trevor began practicing law with Dan Roach after graduating law school in 2016, while waiting to report for military service with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. His active-duty assignments included three years at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence, at Fort Rucker, AL. There, he served as an Administrative and Labor Law Attorney, and then as Trial Counsel and Special Assistant United States Attorney, prosecuting cases at Courts-Martial and in the Middle District of Alabama Magistrate Court. Due to his prior experience, Trevor was given an extra duty of providing estate planning assistance for the numerous service members and retirees in the vicinity of Fort Rucker.

In 2020, Trevor was assigned to the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Trial Defense Service Field Office, one of the busiest jurisdictions in the Army, where he served as a Complex and Capital Litigation attorney. After two years with the Trial Defense Service, defending those who defend America, Trevor left active duty to return to Walla Walla. Trevor served on active duty for five and a half years, before transitioning to the Washington Army National Guard, where he continues to serve as a Judge Advocate.

Trevor has a passion for public service, instilled by his family and nurtured through his years of Scouting, where he earned his Eagle Scout Award. During law school, Trevor continued to serve his community by volunteering as a Rule 9 Legal Intern with the Washington State Attorney General’s office, assisting in contract, real estate, and construction matters on behalf of the Department of Transportation and citizens of Washington State. Trevor continues to volunteer in the Walla Walla Community, particularly with the Walla Walla Catholic Schools.

Trevor is a fourth generation Washingtonian, and this state is truly his home. Trevor and his wife, Danielle (née Fazzari), have three boys and many family members in Walla Walla, and Western Washington.

Trevor’s practice includes a diverse spectrum of civil law matters, including estate planning, estate administration, guardianships, adoptions, business formation and real estate matters. Trevor’s primary focus is to provide his clients with the skill and expertise they need to understand and address the complex legal issues that impact their lives. Hiring an attorney is a daunting prospect, and people often only seek legal representation or advice to address stressful situations. After advising and defending numerous clients, standing next to them in some of the most challenging moments of their lives, Trevor endeavors to proactively guide clients as they shape their future.
